another lazy sunday...

went to a church similar to my upbringing for the first time in a long time today. it was quite enjoyable, even despite the fact the sermon was completely on their upcoming building project. i didn't mind because 1) got to worship to songs i haven't worshiped to in a long time. and there was an actual band playing. and people not buried in their songbook but singing and dancing. and, i don't know, just the joy of singing loudly songs that are echoing through the hall from people singing as passionately as you about them. and i didn't mind the building project sermon because he promised it would be the only one. the word has to get out somewhere. and, sure, this church reminds me a bit too much of prestonwood baptist church in plano and its' bap-to-dome, but, still, it's as close to home as there is around here. at least it is assuming i don't want to waste weeks visiting every small church around. some of those promise to be closer to what i am looking for, but, with time limited, and me already so "backslidden," i think it's time to just settle in, flaws and all.

afternoon spent watching bball once again. texas cruises to sweet 16. still not convinced they can win the whole thing, but, man, would it be nice.

evening and rest of the day spent on wedding arrangements/planning. also spent the night working on next year's schedule. would be much easier if we had a clue as to how many residents we'll have.

i should sleep soon. the ambitious plan is up at 5 or 5:30 to workout for 30 minutes. we'll see how it goes.
